Temperature Blanket through June 30th

July 20, 2016 By: Deena Price1 Comment

This blanket is working up so quickly I believe that I will be totally caught up before the end of the week! I am excited to be caught up on it because I really need to work on some other projects that I have already started! I have about 10 projects going right now and I need to finish some!

Temperature blanket though June 30th

This afghan is turning out great.  It will be 72 blocks by 102 blocks. Right now it is 72 blocks by 87 blocks and it is already 4 1/2 feet long!

Green in a sea of pink

I record the temperature for wherever we are for the night when we are out of town.  We have done a lot of camping in June and most of the temperatures have been in the pink colors. But one day in mid-June at Wallowa Lake it was only 53 degrees for the high that day, so there is a lonely little 20 block stripe of pistachio! At this point, I am only 20 days behind…and since I only started this project (for the second time) 3 weeks ago, I am really excited!

This is one of the most unique temperature blankets I have seen yet. I love it! Would you mind sharing with me your “rhyme and reason” to it all (number of stitches per day)?

About Me

I am a stay-at-home-mom of 12 wonderful kids! My two oldest sons live on their own. And my 10 youngest (ages, 3, 4, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 17 & 18) live at home! We have been fortunate enough to be foster parents for the last 5 years. We have adopted 7 kiddos out of foster care and currently have one foster daughter - life is crazy and busy, but we LOVE it! I have been crafting for about 20 years. I started with stamping and crocheting and my hobby has grown from there! I always say, "I haven't met a craft I didn't like!" At this time, I spend the majority of my craft time crocheting because I can crochet in the family room while the kids play! Although I am an extremely busy mom, I spend my evenings creating! I love to make gifts for my family and friends. Feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you like or what you don't like or what you would like to see more of!
